(WHAS11) -- The National Center for Health Statistics found that that amount of fast food consumed by adults is down.
In 2010 about 11 percent of adults' daily calorie intake came from fast food items like burgers, pizza, and fries. The number is down from 13 percent in 2006.
However, overall caloric intake remained about the same during these years.
Officials say the drop is mostly due to financial concerns so many people ate more meals at home.
