(WHAS 11)--Parents, your kids could be eating a lot more salt than you think.

That's according to a study by the American Heart Association.

It says more than 75 percent of the toddler meals, typically microwaveable

Items like macaroni and cheese or pizza, had more sodium than recommended.

Researchers say the findings are alarming since there's evidence a child's

Salt intake is related to the likelihood of developing hypertension later in life.
