LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police want you to hit the streets for National Night Out Tuesday August 7. Louisville Metro Police are joining law enforcement agencies from across the country for this national crime prevention event.
The event is all about highlighting crime and drug prevention awareness as well as strengthening communication with police and residents.
In Louisville events are planned at most police divisions in the city. Click here for a full list of events.
Last year more than 37-million people took part nationwide in the event.
