A single picture has caused residents in a small New Jersey town to call police and grab national headlines.
The picture shows an 11-year-old boy holding a gun that resembles an assault rifle. The picture has now gone viral, causing police to do a search at the boy's home, fearing he had guns and ammunition.
As it turns out, the boy's father is a gun instructor at a sportsman's club and he had outfitted the .22-caliber rifle to look like an assault rifle as a gift for the boy's birthday.
Police said no charges will be filed.
