(WHAS 11)--George Zimmerman’s attorneys have released new evidence taken from Trayvon Martin's cell phone.
His attorneys say the data paints a different picture of the 17-year-old Martin than what his family and supporters have described.
The evidence includes text message discussions of drug use, photos of marijuana and martin blowing smoke, and a picture of a gun.
Other text exchanges appear to be discussing guns and possibly the sale of a gun.
The attorney for Trayvon's family said the evidence is irrelevant and won't be used in Zimmerman’s trial.
