(WHAS 11)--The FDA says a farm linked to the recent outbreak of Cyclospora has stopped sending lettuce to the U.S.
Cyclospora is a rare type of parasite that causes intestinal illness.
The FDA says Taylor Farms de Mexico voluntarily stopped shipments to the U.S and will not resume them until the FDA gives the go ahead.
According to the CDC, as of Monday, 539 people in 19 states have been sickened by Cyclospora.
At least 32 of them have been hospitalized.
The salad mix from Taylor Farms was linked specifically to cases from Iowa and Nebraska.
