Mike O’Connell, county attorney, said the special unit will be designed to handle juvenile court cases.
Erin White has been appointed to the prosecutor position for juvenile cases. A victim advocate will also be involved in the initiative.
Officials said White is the first prosecutor to focus specifically on the juvenile division.
