LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A criminal investigation is underway in Texas after last month’s deadly fertilizer plant explosion.

Investigators have said the West Fertilizer Company blast that killed 14 people was an industrial accident.

Meanwhile, a Texas paramedic who helped evacuate people on the night of the explosion is charged with possessing a destructive device.

It’s not clear whether the charges are related to the explosion.

Bryce Reed arrived at the jail overnight and is being interviewed by federal agents.
