(WHAS11) -- Kids will be out trick-or-treating on Halloween but the day before is when you should indulge in a little candy corn. October 30 is National Candy Corn Day!
George Renninger came up with the candy back in the 1880s. According to the National Confectioners Association, more than 35 million pounds of the tri-colored candy will be made this year.
That means if you laid out each piece end to end, you could circle the moon more than 20 times!
