WASHINGTON (AP) — A Democrat from Kentucky says it's time for Rep. Charlie Rangel to resign.

Rep. John Yarmuth says he has no reason to doubt the accuracy of the House ethics committee's 13 charges of tax and disclosure violations against Rangel. Yarmuth says the allegations made public Thursday show a consistent disregard for House rules and that the 20-term New York Democrat should step down.

A spokesman confirmed a report on Yarmuth's comments in the Louisville Courier-Journal on Friday. Yarmuth is the second Democrat to call for Rangel's resignation.

Rangel denies the charges and says they contain inaccurate information.
