FREMONT, Calif. (AP) -- Tesla Motors says three employees were injured Wednesday when an aluminum casting press failed at its factory in Fremont, Calif.
The company did not disclose the extent of the injuries. It said there was a failure in a low pressure aluminum casting press, and the three workers were injured by hot metal. It did not release additional details.
Fire trucks were seen outside the factory in the afternoon. But Pam Franklin, a Fremont fire employee, said there was no fire at the plant, and the incident was being treated as an industrial accident.
