Logano wins night race at Bristol...Cavs get some Love

BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) — Joey Logano held off Brad Keselowski on the final lap to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup race under the lights at the high-banked half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway. It's Logano's third victory this year and sixth career victory, but his first at Bristol.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Kevin Love, arguably the NBA's best power forward, is headed from Minnesota to Cleveland, where he will join LeBron James and instantly make the Cavs an NBA title favorite. The Timberwolves are getting No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins and former top pick Anthony Bennett from Cleveland and veteran forward Thaddeus Young from Philadelphia. The 76ers also get a 2015 first-round draft choice from Cleveland, and two players from the T-Wolves.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Joshua Houston pitched five innings and also brought in the tying run with a line single in the fifth to lead Chicago past Las Vegas 7-5 in the U.S. final at the Little League World Series. The Great Lakes Region champions from Jackie Robinson West advanced to meet South Korea in Sunday's championship game.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Yankees have retired four-time World Series champion manager Joe Torre's No. 6. He is the 17th Yankee to have his number retired by the most successful franchise in baseball history.

PARAMUS, N.J. (AP)— Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) and Jason Day start Sunday's final round at The Barclays tied for the lead at nine under par, one ahead of Hunter Mahan (MAY'-han). Pre-tournament favorite Rory McIlroy and Masters champ Bubba Watson are 4-under, five shots off the pace.
