LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Officials in Lexington are preparing for postgame reactions from thousands of fans.

Eighth-seeded Kentucky takes on seventh-seeded Connecticut Monday night in the NCAA national championship game.

After the Wildcat's NCAA tournament win over Wisconsin on Saturday, authorities say fans filled the streets to celebrate. Authorities say they doused more than 40 small fires, treated 12 people for minor injuries and arrested several others.

Fans also poured into the streets to celebrate the Wildcat's NCAA tournament win over Michigan.

Police and university officials say large crowds have so far been mostly well-behaved and under control.
