CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (AP) — Thomas More College President Dave Armstrong says the institution will add a new set of fees next fall to cover the cost of books and eliminating a separate tab for the materials.
Armstrong told The Kentucky Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1iLkGW5 ) fees would increase by about $600 per year. The move replaces the current system, whereby students pay about $720 in fees each year, covering everything from technology to facilities. But they have paid for their books — which can cost upward of $1,000 a year or more — separately.
Under the new system, all the fees would be consolidated into one $1,350 annual fee, including instructional materials.
The new fee system comes on the heels of plans to start a marching band, a women's lacrosse program and an athletic training major.
