WURTLAND, Ky. (AP) — Three people have died in a crash in eastern Kentucky.
The Independent of Ashland, Ky., reports that the crash happened Sunday on U.S. 23 just south of Greenup. The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for about four hours.
Greenup County Sheriff Keith Cooper told WSAZ-TV in Charleston, W.V., that the head-on collision happened about 5 p.m.
The names of the deceased were not released. No additional information was immediately available about what caused the crash, which remains under investigation.
