LONDON, Ky. (AP) — A man charged with mailing a white powder from Nebraska to a phone company office is scheduled to appear in federal court in southern Kentucky for arraignment.
U.S. District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove will handle the case of Thomas J. Finn on Friday in London, Ky.
A federal grand jury in February charged Finn with mailing a letter containing and unknown white power from Omaha, Neb. to the offices of the telecommunications company Sprint. Prosecutors say the person opening the letter had a fear of being exposed to biological or chemical weapon after finding the powder on Aug. 3.
Court records did not list an address or hometown for Finn. An attorney had not yet entered an appearance for Finn as of Saturday.
