ST. PETERS, Miss. -- Talk about a Christmas miracle. A man who's been deaf for more than half a century finally hears his daughter's voice.
Ashley Stehle was preparing for her Christmas choir. She knew her dad Ken was getting a hearing aid, but she wasn't sure if it was going to work.
The technology has only been out for a year and it requires Ashley to wear a special microphone. The song she chose to sing? "Daddy Please Come Home for Christmas."
"He was just closing his eyes and listening to my voice," Ashley said.
"It's amazing. I had goosebumps all over me. I'm very proud of my daughter," Ken said.
He added that he's grateful for his hearing aid and is amazed at how many sounds there are in every day life.
