LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A former officer at a Lexington prison has pleaded not guilty to a charge of rape and official misconduct involving allegations of a sexual relationship with an inmate.
The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/1aYEgXm ) reported 37-year-old Jennifer Wiseman was arrested Wednesday and entered the not guilty plea through her attorney Thursday. She is scheduled back in court Jan. 13.
Police allege that Wiseman had a sexual relationship with the inmate from July to September. Blackburn Correctional Complex said in a statement that Wiseman worked there from March 25 until she was dismissed on Sept. 23.
Wiseman was released from jail on $2,500 bond.
The Associated Press does not identify victims of sexual assault.
