BURLINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A grand jury has opted not to indict the former Boone County Public Works director.
The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/17DYmGA) reports the decision was handed down on Tuesday.
The newspaper reports the panel had been asked to consider one count of abuse of public trust against former Public Works Director Greg Sketch.
Public records showed Sketch used revenue from the sale of scrap metal to establish a secret fund over a five-year period.
Sketch retired from the position after being suspended without pay in July.
Meanwhile, Boone County issued a statement saying two other public works employees had resigned based on the findings from an investigation.
