IRVINE, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky woman is facing a drug charge after an officer says she sent him text messages asking to purchase prescription pills.
Irvine Police Capt. Adrian McKinney told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/1de304U ) that he thought the text messages were a joke at first, but decided to play along. He said he soon realized the other person was serious and set up a place to meet.
Irvine said when officers arrived at the meeting place, they found 30-year-old Kassie Hardy texting in a car nearby and arrested her. She is charged with attempted trafficking in a controlled substance.
It was unclear whether Hardy had an attorney.
