FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A legislative committee has completed its review of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and offered only one recommendation.
The State Journal (http://bit.ly/15kOVhH) reports the Program Review and Investigations Committee recommended on Thursday that the commission adopt bylaws regarding what items should be brought for its approval.
The panel began its review in December after concerns were raised and spending and personnel decisions at the agency. A separate review by the Office of Inspector General in the Kentucky Cabinet for Public Protection is ongoing.
Department of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jonathan Gassett said it was likely that the agency would follow the panel's recommendation.
