MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (AP) — Police arrested a woman in Rockcastle County for impersonating a nurse.

According to WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/19fUdxs), 40-year-old Samantha Key of London was arrested at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital on Saturday.

A hospital spokeswoman said Key had been walking around the hospital's campus wearing blue scrubs since the beginning of the week. Employees became suspicious because they didn't recognize the woman.

The spokeswoman said Key visited the hospital on Saturday and was arrested after she showed security fake identification and tried to convince them that she worked there.

Police said Key never performed any medical procedures, but mostly walked around and talked to hospital employees.

"I think it's pretty crazy," said Kim Luna, a relative of a patient at the hospital. "I don't know how she went five days without someone noticing."

An officer at the Rockcastle County Detention Center told The Associated Press on Sunday that Key had been released on $5,000 bond.
