HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a toddler who died after falling from the counter of a fast food restaurant in western Kentucky.
Henderson Police Officer Jennifer Richmond says it is unclear why 13-month-old Mason Ray Brown tumbled from a countertop at the Captain D's Friday night while at the eatery with his mother.
Richmond told The Gleaner (http://bit.ly/115oSra ) the case will remain a death investigation until word comes from the coroner to handle it as a criminal case.
Vanderburgh County Coroner Annie Groves said Sunday the results of several tests are pending. Groves said the testing and results of those tests would take at least a few more weeks.
