Lexington inmate who walked off back in custody

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Authorities in Lexington have located an inmate who failed to return after being issued a court-ordered medical pass.

Police said 44-year-old Woodrow Gibbins was scheduled to return to the Division of Community Corrections at 6 p.m. Wednesday, but did not come back. He was being held on a probation violation charge.

Police arrested him shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday and returned him to jail.

Gibbins was also charged with second-degree escape.
