HODGENVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Investigators say two family members fought over a gun, resulting in one person being shot at a home in Hodgenville.

LaRue County Sheriff Merle Edlin told WAVE-TV in Louisville (http://bit.ly/17d9ydF ) the strange situation unfolded Sunday night when 55-year-old Dennis Locke of Buffalo went to a house and threatened to kill himself in front of family members.

A family member tried to wrestle the gun from Locke, resulting in a single shot being fired. Edlin says Locke was shot in the shoulder.

Officers believe Dennis Locke was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the scuffle; in fact, they had already responded to a call involving him earlier Sunday.

Locke was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges are expected to be filed.
