MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Emergency officials say a train derailed in western Kentucky and blocked a road, but nothing was spilled and no one was injured.

The CSX train had 14 overturned cars and one overturned tanker when emergency officials arrived at the scene between Nortonville and Morton's Gap on Saturday around 3:30 p.m.

Emergency Management Director Frank Wright told The Messenger in Madisonville (http://bit.ly/141Aez4 ) that the derailment occurred along a stretch of Kentucky 41 and the train cars and tanker were empty when it happened, so nothing spilled or leaked.

However, Wright said the cars are blocking a small road that has blocked access to about five homes. Officials were working with CSX to get equipment to move the cars.
