NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A coroner says a man has been hit and killed by a train in central Kentucky.
Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes told WLEX-TV (http://bit.ly/Y23IHT) that it appears the man was standing on the tracks facing the train when he was hit late Tuesday. He said it doesn't appear that the man tried to move away from the oncoming train.
He says it is unknown whether the man's actions were "intentional or just shock factor."
The victim has not been identified, but was described as a white male between the ages of 30 and 50.
