ERLANGER, Ky. (AP) — Police in Erlanger say a man stole about $70 from Girl Scouts who were selling cookies in a supermarket parking lot.
According to The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/Y7fIH1 ), the man was wearing a gray hoodie and a surgical mask when he opened scout leader Sandra Mulligan's car Tuesday and got in, asking what time it was. Police said the man then snatched Mulligan's purse, which contained $50 in cash, two rolls of quarters and a check made out to the scouts.
Mulligan shouted and ran after the thief and a Kroger employee chased him, but the man threw the purse at the worker and got away. The cash and the check were missing.
