Glass bottle maker plans northern Ky. plant

COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Glass bottle manufacturer Westpack LLC is planning a move to Covington.

According to The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/VPqF06a0, Westpack hasn't finalized a deal, but is looking for a 126,000-square-foot location that would employ 63 people. The company has received preliminary approval for up to $1.5 million in state and local tax incentives over the next decade.

Westpack makes bottles for the alcoholic beverage industry.

The newspaper reported state documents show the company plans to invest up to $5 million in a northern Kentucky facility.

The average wage will be about $18 per hour, including benefits.
