LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The National Weather Service is forecasting a wintry mix for much of Kentucky.
The forecast calls for the possibility of snow, ice, freezing rain and sleet to hit areas across the state Thursday night into Friday morning.
The office in Paducah said in a statement that some accumulations are possible in western Kentucky and roadways may be slick as motorists drive in to work.
The Jackson office said in a statement that accumulations in eastern Kentucky should be light, with under an inch expected in the Lake Cumberland region and up to 2 inches elsewhere.
The office in Louisville said in a statement that light ice is expected at dawn Friday, with up to 2 inches of snow possible in areas of central Kentucky.
