SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Kentucky have charged a man with murder in the killing of another man one day before his wedding.
According to WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/yQyYaF ), Daniel Hackworth is held in the Big Sandy Detention Center in the death of 49-year-old Donnie Allen of Salyersville.
Police found Allen's body Monday, outside his mobile home and said he had been shot several times in the chest at close range with a small-caliber weapon. Hackworth was found not far away. Police say he had a gun.
Allen's sister, Janie Mulkey, said her brother was going to be married on Tuesday.
The TV station said Hackworth declined a request to be interviewed at the jail.
