LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville police say one woman is seriously injured after her car collided with a Jefferson County school bus with elementary school students on board.
Police dispatch said one child was slightly injured, and police spokeswoman Carey Klain told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/13cjEKK ) that parents took three other children to Kosair Children's Hospital.
The wreck happened east of downtown at about 4:20 p.m. EST Monday. Klain said the bus made a left turn into the car's path and the car wedged under the bus. The woman, who is in her 40s, had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The bus was carrying 15 children from Chenoweth Elementary School.
