OWENTON, Ky. (AP) — Two central Kentucky teens have been cited after police say they caused a public alarm at their school.
Kentucky State Police say the 15-year-old students at Owen County High School made statements that alarmed other students in the facility. Police say one student told classmates that an intruder was inside the building, and the other said everyone was in danger.
Police said neither student made a direct threat. Both were cited on Thursday, and each faces a charge of disorderly conduct because police said they made the statements to cause a public alarm.
