CADIZ, Ky. (AP) — Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed a western Kentucky police chief to fill the top position in Trigg County.
Cadiz Police Chief Hollis Alexander will become judge-executive on Jan. 1, taking the place of Stan Humphries. Beshear announced the appointed on Friday.
Alexander told the Kentucky New Era (http://bit.ly/URlwT6) that he is "honored" by the confidence that the governor has placed in him and looks forward to his new role.
Humphries resigned from the position after winning his bid for the 1st District state Senate seat.
