AURORA, Ky. (AP) — Officials say an elderly western Kentucky woman has died in a blaze.
The Paducah Sun (http://bit.ly/VsAH43) reports emergency crews recovered the remains of Ruth Woodyard, who was in her 80s, from her motor home on Thursday after firefighters put out a blaze that had consumed the vehicle. Neighbors say Woodyard and her husband, Lester, were living in the motor home as they built a house on the property in southern Marshall County near Kenlake State Resort Park.
Officials say Woodyard was bedridden, and her husband wasn't in the motor home at the time the fire broke out.
Sheena Richardson, an investigator with the state fire marshal's office, says the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
