FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) — Turfway Park has promoted operations manager Daniel "Chip" Bach to general manager of the northern Kentucky track.

The announcement coincided with the opening of the Florence track's holiday meet this week.

The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/U6BDda ) reports that Bach has worked at the track for more than a decade and had been operations manager since 2006.

Bach replaces Lee Dillard, who served as interim general manager after longtime president Bob Elliston departed to take a position with the Breeders' Cup in Lexington.

Turfway is owned by a partnership that involves Rock Gaming, Caesars Entertainment and the Keeneland Association.
