HYDEN, Ky. (AP) — A trial is underway in eastern Kentucky in which a man is accused of two slayings within three days.
WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/Tl5nnU) reports jurors heard a recording of a police interview and several witnesses on Tuesday in the trial of Charles Dwight Watts, who is accused of murder in the 2009 deaths of Kelly Johnson and Chad Muncy in Leslie County. Watts is accused of robbing and killing Johnson on April 18, and killing Muncy on April 21.
Watts has pleaded not guilty in the slayings.
Testimony was expected to continue Wednesday.
