WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) — Traffic on Interstate 75 in southern Kentucky is shut down in both directions due to a wreck.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported on its website that lanes were blocked in both directions as a result of an injury accident and were expected to remain so until about 10 p.m. EST Wednesday.

The crash happened between mile markers 4 and 6 in Whitley County.

Meanwhile, the cabinet says construction on most major roadways in Kentucky is being suspended during the holiday but advises that motorists should remain alert for lane closures in many locations.
