CORBIN, Ky. (AP) — A southern Kentucky sheriff has destroyed 27 electric gambling machines confiscated earlier this year during two raids.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root told The Times-Tribune (http://bit.ly/TbESDY ) that deputies crushed the machines with a bulldozer Friday at the county's Lily Landfill.
Root says 19 machines were seized in June at a business U.S. 25 one mile north of London. The remaining machines were at the second location and confiscated in August. Root said the investigations were unrelated, and a total of five people were arrested.
