CRESCENT SPRINGS, Ky. (AP) — What's a mayor to do when he gets the wrong election ballot and can't vote for city council seats? Consider annexation, apparently.

Crescent Springs Mayor Jim Collett used the incident to urge the council this week to annex an unincorporated area in Kenton County.

According to The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/SZZvAu ), Collett said when he voted on Nov. 6, the ballot he received did not include the six city council seats. There was not opposition in any council race.

The strip of unincorporated land is along a road that is largely an apartment community. A proposed annexation ordinance has been on the table for almost a year.
