Man rescued from asphalt silo in northern Kentucky

FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) - A fire official says a man was rescued after becoming trapped inside an asphalt silo in northern Kentucky.
Florence Fire Chief Kelly Aylor says crews used ropes to lower themselves into the silo to retrieve the man at an asphalt business Saturday.
Media outlets report the man was doing maintenance work and his legs had become pinned by a large piece of asphalt at the bottom of the silo.
He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. The man's identity and condition weren't immediately released.
