West Clark Community Schools superintendent stepping down

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The West Clark Community Schools superintendent is saying goodbye to parents and staff.
Chad Schenck is stepping off the job at the end of December.
This comes less than a month after a failed referendum that would have raised money to invest in school buildings.
The board then unanimously voted to move forward with splitting up the district, making Silver Creek its own school corporation.
Schenck says he is leaving to "pursue other opportunities."
