LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Oxmoor Auto Group and Progressive surprised a Louisville veteran with a car as part of Progressive’s national Keys to Progress initiative.
Veteran and father of a special needs child, Brian Melone, was nominated by the local non-profit, Barren Heights, to be honored with the newly refurbished car. The new car will give the Melone family a safe, reliable way to get through their everyday routines.
“It's going to help out. He's got surgeries coming up. It will be real easy to get him in and out especially as the weather gets bad,” Melone said.
The Keys to Progress program provides assistance to veterans and their families across the nation.
