LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Christmas is two months away, but UPS is already preparing for the holiday season. The company is expecting record holiday delivery of more than 700,000,000 packages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.
UPS plans to advance pick-ups and processing through the weekend before its peak delivery day, December 19, to make sure customers get packages on time. They are also creating mobile distribution centers.
UPS plans to hire 2,500 seasonal employees to help them with the busy season. They are looking for seasonal package handlers, driver helpers and loaders. These jobs have the potential to turn into permanent jobs.
