UofL Foundation receives resignation of Dr. James Ramsey

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The University of Louisville Foundation board met on Friday, Sept. 16, at their annual meeting and the chairman announced they have received the resignation of Dr. James Ramsey, the former University of Louisville President.

Brucie Moore is the new UofL Foundation Chair. She was already serving on the foundation before Friday's appointment.

This meeting is highly anticipated. There are several ongoing controversies, including calls for the Foundation Board Chair to step aside and questions about former President James Ramsey’s role with the school’s fundraising arm.

Right now, the Board is in executive session choosing officers, but Friday’s meetings are supposed to include dealing with calls for reforms and an audit.
