UofL appealing NCAA decision on sex scandal

ATLANTA, GA. (WHAS 11)--The University of Louisville's interim Athletic Director and the interim president will be in Atlanta appealing the NCAA's decision after a sex scandal in the men's basketball program.

Interim Athletic Director Vince Tyra told WHAS in November that he and Greg Postel would go before the infractions appeals committee Tuesday and Wednesday.

The NCAA said the school's national championship should be vacated after former basketball staffer Andre McGee was accused of hiring strippers and escorts for players and recruits.

Tyra talked to our Kent Spencer about the appeal.

There's no word on when the NCAA will make a decision on the appeal.
