Thursday is going to be a huge day for the Ford Motor Company, and potentially for Louisville.

The New York Times is reporting that the company will announce that it will convert three of its North American assembly plants from trucks to cars.

No details were given, but all along Louisville’s explorer plant has been expected to be one of those plants to be converted.

The Times also says Ford will move production of the large expedition and navigator from Michigan to Kentucky.

It’s believed the truck plant in Louisville’s east-end will build those SUVs in the future.
