Firefighters have trouble getting Thursday night fire under control
07:34 AM EST on Friday, November 21, 2008
(WHAS11) -Flames lit up the night sky Thursday night on Dixie Highway as firefighters spent an hour getting a house fire under control.
The fire started just after 7:00 Thursday night at a home in the 13 hundred block of Dixie Highway.
When firefighters pulled up, they saw flames shooting out of the roof.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters say there was no power inside the house, but people were living there.
They had trouble battling the blaze because of the height of the building and the power lines and trees in the street.
