Metro Police officer resigns, pleads guilty to official misconduct after hiring prostitute

Officer charged with official misconduct

(WHAS11) - The LMPD officer charged with official misconduct for hiring a prostitute then charging her with a crime has entered a guilty plea and turned in his resignation.

             

Officer Kenneth Wynne admits he hired Sherry McLean, refused to pay for sex acts, and then charged her with trespassing.

  

Wynne was in and out of court quickly, pleading guilty to the official misconduct charge at his arraignment.  Wynne won't do any jail time if he stays out of trouble for two years.

   

He also promised not to seek another police job in the state of Kentucky.
