Former officer charged with selling drugs gets 12 years

(WHAS11) - A former Clarksville Police Officer charged with selling drugs was sentenced Thursday.
Franklin Mikel
Under a plea agreement, the judge sentenced Franklin Mikel, 35, to 12 years.
Ten of those behind bars, one on home incarceration and one on probation.
Mikel admitted he sold pills to undercover police last year at the Greentree Skateland roller rink.
Both sides say they are pleased with the outcome.
the plea agreement helped Mikel avoid a potential 150 years behind bars.
